Ponil Campgrounds is located in northern New Mexico at the foot of the Rocky Mountains.  You can make day trips to Taos, Santa Fe, Angel Fire, Eagles Nest, and Red River for shopping, sight seeing and casinos.  In Cimarron you will have art galleries, a 30's soda fountain, grocery store, medical clinic, dime store and 5 restaurants serving everything from pizza, buffalo burgers, ice cream, home style cooking and fine dining.  We offer both RV parking and tent camping.  Our park has a 'out in the country feeling' with large trees, a creek on the perimeter, deer and wild turkey roaming thru the park.  We look forward to having you as a guest.

There are lots of things to do in our area.
This is a great area for outdoor activities.  Hunting, fishing, back packing, 4 wheeling, horse back riding and golfing are some of the things you can do in this part of New Mexico.  At the park we have fire pits, picnic tables, a regulation horse shoe pit, a large screened in pavilion and internet access.  We also have 2 bath houses and a laundry room for our guests to use.  The pavillion can be reserved for private parties like birthdays, anniverseries, family reunions, etc.

Many of our guests stay here 4-6 months a year.  They often arrange pot lucks, card and domino games, shopping excursions, morning 'Cowboy Coffee' at the large fire pit, horse shoe competitions and more,  everyone is invited to join in for most activities.

We now have 30 and 50 amp electrical service and Dish Network hookups.
